Core Drilling

Core drilling, also known as diamond core drilling, is a method used to create precise holes in hard materials such as concrete, asphalt, stone, and masonry. Unlike traditional drilling techniques, which involve rotating bits, core drilling utilises diamond drill bits to bore through surfaces with exceptional accuracy.

Core drilling finds widespread applications across various industries and construction projects. Common uses include creating openings for plumbing and electrical installations, HVAC systems, structural reinforcement, and geological sampling and analysis.

Core drilling works by rotating a hollow drill bit with diamond teeth at the end. The drill bit penetrates the surface, gradually creating a cylindrical hole. As the drill bit progresses, a solid core sample is extracted from the material, providing valuable insights into its composition and integrity.
